Spartan Warrior with Spear and Hoplite Shield Statue Sculpture

Hoplites were citizen-soldiers of Ancient Greek city-states who were primarily armed with spears and shields. Their main tactic was the phalanx formation. They were primarily free citizens-propertied farmers and artisans-who were able to afford the bronze armor suit and weapons (estimated at a third to a half of its able-bodied adult male population). This finely detailed statue features a Spartan warrior with spear and hoplite shield. It measures 6 inches by 13 inches by 5 inches and is made of high quality, cold cast resin with a bronze powder finish.
